Return of hire bikes is possible at any time with our after hours return area. The only tour we run over the warmer months is our Paluma E-bike and Hike half day tour.
NQ Cycle Journeys provides bike hire, and self-guided and guided tour options in the Townsville region of North Queensland. We have quality, comfortable e-bikes, multi-terrain hybrid bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, kid's bikes and accessories to cater for all ages.
Suggested Cycle Journeys
The Strand, Jezzine Barracks and Castle Hill
Get a breathtaking view of Townsville from on top of Castle Hill. Our e-bikes take the grind out of going up hill. Afterwards, why not roll down to the iconic Strand for sun, swimming, cafes and bars.
Pallarenda and Town Common Wetlands
Take the coastal shared path all the way out to Cape Pallarenda to discover historical and cultural sites, conservation and the amazing birdlife in the Town Common Wetlands.
playgrounds and shady picnic areas are great for families
Ross River Trails
Take a journey along the serene pathways of the tranquil Ross River. Cruise through tidal wetlands, shady forests and remnants of mango orchards. Keep your eye out for turtles, wallabies, an array of birdlife and even a fresh water crocodile (if you're lucky). The Riverway Lagoons offer free, patrolled swimming pools, perfect for cooling off on a warm day.
Magnetic Island
A 20 minute ferry ride will take you to the relaxed and beautiful Magnetic Island. E-bikes are the go here to easily conquer the hills between bays and beaches. The Forts Walk is a must and there are a number of fantastic snorkelling locations made easily accesible by bike. Ask us about suggested itineraries, nature tours and accommodation.
Douglas Mountain Bike Park
Douglas Mountain Bike Park located in the foothills of Mt Stuart offers premier single track riding with an XC and all mountain focus. The 41km of trails cater for more experienced riders chasing hills and thrills.
